Recently I published many tutorials on SEO’s topic on this blog as well as on My Youtube Channel. Many guys emailed Me & contacted me. Some of them appreciated my SEO efforts & many of them asked many questions about SEO. Few of them asked about Robots.txt file; that what is this file and what does it do?. Therefore today I created about Robots.txt file and describe it with examples. You’ll learn how to create this file and how to carefully use this file in English, if anything went wrong then it might very harmful for your website, so you should be doing things very carefully. However, in case something goes wrong, you can instantly remove this file from your website to avoid bad experience.
What is Robot.txt File?
Robot.txt file is a text file which instructs the search engines robots/crawlers/spiders which folder or page of any a website should not be accessed by them. You can disallow any search robot from some of your website’s specific folders or pages. They will not be able to access those pages which you’ve specified in the robots.txt file.
How to create a robots.txt file?
The syntax of creating this file is quite simple, just open notepad & save the file, give it a name as robots.txt and write
following two lines:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /
The above example is the simplest syntax for creating a robots.txt file, and the the first line “User-agent*” means that all crawlers/robots are allowed to access all the pages/folders of the website, however you can specify a folder/page in the below line “Disallow:/” you just need to write that page/folder after the / backslash.
if you wanna disallow search robots from any of your pages or folders then just add that page address after the back slash of Disallow line. Like this: Disallow: /kaka.html. Upload that txt file to your root directory of your website and you’re all done! in Blogger you can find this file by default by visiting setting page & then search preferences. Also if you want to disallow many pages or folders in the txt file then just do like this :
User-agent:*
Disallow:/images
Disallow:/plugins
Disallow:/wp-admin.php
Disallow:/login.php
In above txt file we disallowed some pages and folders of our site, so now Search robots/crawlers can not access them, and they will neither be indexed nor be crawled.

How to Change Payee Name & Country in Adsense Account?
As an Adsense publisher, until a few years ago, you could not change payee name and country in your Google Adsense account, but now it’s possible to change these both. The reason is; because Google has expanded the options and features in its Adsense program over the last years and months, so that publishers can utilize all the options available to them. Let’s see how we can change payee name and country in Adsense account.
How to Change Adsense Payee Name?
In order to change the payee name or add another payee name to your Adsense account, you’ll have to login to your Adsense account and then follow below steps, there is a screenshot below the steps:
- Click the “Gear Option”
on top right of your Adsense dashboard
- Click “Payments” and then click “Payee Profile“
- On the footer of the page, you’ll see “Billing Contacts“
- You can add a new contact or can edit the existing one

The above information means, you can easily change your Adsense Payee name and also you can add another person to collect the payment. It was not possible a few years ago, and many people were worried about mistakes in their payee names which they entered in the Adsense account at first place. However, it will not be the future case.
How to Change Country in Adsense Account?
You can change country in Adsense account, but not all publishers can change the country. The reason which Google mentioned on their help pages was exactly like this:
Reason #1: The payment currency in your account currently isn’t available as a payment currency in your new country.
Reason #2: You’re changing your country to a country outside of your contracting entity.
Now the above lines are very difficult to understand, but what I got out of it was that you can’t change your country if your new country doesn’t support the payment currency which you previously had in your account. For example, if you had USD in your account as currency and now you want to move to Japan then USD is not a payment currency in Japan, so you won’t be able to do this.
And the second line says something about contracting entity, that’s mean your Adsense account is associated with a Google entity which might either be in Ireland, United States, Singapore or China. The Singapore office actually handles all the payments and other Adsense related issues for South Asian and Southeast Asian publishers. In this case, if you want to change your country to another region like from Singapore to Ireland then it won’t work (Ireland office handles the European countries).

Google Adsense Automatic Payment Declined Issue [Resolved]
On 23 December 2014, I just checked the Adsense account and the payment page, where payment was expected to be issued today because every year in the month of December, Adsense issues the payments before 25th Dec, and We were expecting the same this year, when I browsed to payment page today, there was a clear message something like this “Automatic Payment Declined: Western Union For ($XXX). No reason provided by your financial institution”, this was the message being displayed next to the payment for this month. And there was a question mark sign which also said “Payment Declined: We were unable to charge your payment”. And this became a matter of worry for me when I instantly tried to search the internet as well as found some possible reasons. What Could be the Reason Behind This?
Identically, this seems to be an issue from Western Union’s side not from Google. This indication comes from Adsense account which somewhere says “No reason provided by your financial institution”, That’s simply means our financial institution for most of the Pakistani publishers is “Western Union” and therefore something has happened at the Western Union’s side. This might either be a change of policy from Western Union for certain countries in which Pakistan might have been included or something they may have to fix with Google. However, I don’t know whether this is a temporary issue or permanent, but we can wait for good news as quickly as possible, and I’ll update you all on this page who are worried about their Adsense payments.
Can I Contact Google Adsense for This?
Unfortunately, We can not contact Adsense team directly, but they do have contact forms which can be used to submit your concerns about this, but as I already mentioned, this looks an issue from Western Union’s side not from Google. So it would be better to contact Western Union for this, and I know they reply quickly and explain the issue with details. So You guys can contact them either using their website specially for Pakistan here: Western Union Pakistan. And also on their official Facebook page here. They even reply to individual messages on Facebook, I’ve experienced this myself in the past.
And at the same time, to acknowledge Google about this issue, We have Adsense Help Forum which we can use to discuss this issue with top contributors, so Adsense team can reach there and can fix the issue as soon as possible. This is not the first time when Western Union payments got issues for Pakistani publishers. Last year in 2013, suddenly Western Union stopped issuing Adsense payments for Pakistani publishers, everyone got very scared at that time, because Western Union was the only proper method to withdraw Adsense earning in Pakistan, but luckily that issue was resolved by Western Union within few days.
What Can You Do if This Goes Long?
First of all, I hope this issue will be resolved soon by Western Union, but if this took time or became permanent then All Pakistani publishers will need to add another method to receive Adsense payments in Pakistan. But luckily, now apart from Western Union, We have two more options to receive Adsense payments in Pakistan:
- Payment via Check (This is very difficult)
- Payment Via Wire Transfer (This is very easy)
So using the above methods, we can receive our payments in Pakistan, and I’ll recommend everyone to select the second method which is “Wire Transfer”, because this way, You can receive the payment directly into your local bank account. And there is no special requirements for it. However, You can only select the check option if you have a bank account in USD and it should in the bank which is linked to the CITI Bank, so that’s very difficult for majority users. You can easily add another payment method in your adsense account by going to payment setting page.
